A Review for Everything!
I am reviewing for all the movies that I have reviewed over the year. The school year is almost over. For all the movies I have reviewed, most of them are the kind of movies that kids in all ages would enjoy. And don’t worry, I have not forgotten about the adults because I have reviewed some movies that not only kids would like but parents will love too. For the first movie I have written, Alvin and the Chipmunks, the movie is about three chipmunks were orphans at first until they met Dave who was the person took care of them and was considered a father to them. These are the kind of chipmunks that can actually talk and they are great singers! Another thing about this movie is that Alvin, Simon, and Theodore have already had their own soundtrack CD so you can listen to them sings anytime.

The second movie that I reviewed is Snow Buddies that is also part of Walt Disney DVD’s. In Snow Buddies, the movie begins with some friends that team up to help survive in the harsh weather in Alaska. This is another movie when regular animals could talk. This is the kind of movie that most kids will love because it teaches kids a very important lesson and the lesson is if you are standing alone, you could be strong but if you team up, you will be stronger.

The next movie I have reviewed about is The Spiderwick Chronicles. If I could rate this movie like a game, I would rate it E for everyone because it’s not just a kid’s movie, it’s for anyone in any age. This is one of the movies that are based on a bestselling children series. Not only The Spiderwick Chronicles is a book or a movie but it’s also a video game! Anyways, the movie is about three kids discovering a magical world with goblins, faeries, and other magical creatures.
Here is one of the movie that I love and most people like is The Simpsons Movie. This is everyone’s favorite yellow people that include Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, Maggie, and much more! This is also based on a television series. Everybody knows that there is always going to be trouble if it has to do with The Simpsons even the youngest one in the family which is Maggie could get into a lot of trouble. These are the yellow but entertaining people that make our day laughing. I would say most teenagers love the Simpsons.

The other movies I have reviewed are also very interesting. The other movies are Penelope, College Road Trip, Horton Hears a Who, and Nim’s Island. The first to movies are more realistic and the rest are either animated or it’s just a made up story. From what I see, all the movies are funny. Some are like non-stop laughing but there is always a scene where they are serious.

What is Nim’s Island? Nim’s Island is a magical place ruled by a young girl’s imagination and also a new movie coming in theatres Friday, April 4, 2008.It is an existence that mirrors that of her favorite literary (fictional) character, Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. As Alexandria, the author of the Rover books moves to a long adventure, she leads herself into a reclusive life in a big city. When Nim’s father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with Alexandria. This movie is rated PG and the running time is an hour and thirty-six minutes.
This adventurous movie is also based on a book by the same name. If you look at the picture below, you can tell that the movie wasn’t filmed in United States. Instead, they filmed Nim’s Island in Australia! But it was produced in United States. So it is still 2008 American adventure-fantasy movie. As you haven’t known yet, Abigail Breslin (known as Little Miss Sunshine) plays Nim in the movie. On Friday, April 4th in Nickelodeon, Abigail Breslin gave us seek preview of Nim’s Island. She told us that her character, Nim Rusoe, and her father found a secret island. She also said that when her father was in trouble (he was missing), Nim made some new animal friends who helped her in finding her father. Her animal friends could actually talk so it made the movie funny.

On April 8, 2008, there is going to be a soundtrack CD of the film’s music released into stores. The friends who helped Nim to find her father is Selkie the sea lion, Fred the iguana, Chica the turtle, and Galileio the pelican. Not only they help Nim find her scientist father but they keep her pretty busy at the time. They are very good friends with Nim. An imaginative elephant hears a speck of dust crying for help!
Yes, this is a moment from all Dr. Seuss fans have been waiting for a new movie in theatres called Horton Hears a Who. This movie was released on March 14, 2008 and it’s only rated G. Did you ever think who would be in the movie? A tiny speck of dust! This tiny speck of dust cries for Horton’s help. Horton is an imaginative elephant who likes to help other people. Sounds like a nice elephant! Anyways, the tiny speck of dust turns out to be a tiny planet, home to a city called “Who-Ville” which inhabited by microscopic-sized inhabitants known as Whos. The Whos ask Horton to protect them from the harm. Find out what happens next while you watch the movie!

Not only Horton Hears a Who is an animated movie but it was also a book.It was a very old book ever since 1954 by Dr. Seuss. The second sequel to Horton hears a Who is Horton Hatches the Egg. In Horton Hatches the Egg, Horton convinced that he will help a bird named Mayzieto take her job as sitting on her egg while she is on her break. As months went by, Horton was getting tired of sitting on Mayzie’s egg so for his break he went to a circus. And what was funny was Horton saw Mayzie there too. Mayzie got really mad at Horton for not watching the egg the whole time. The egg was making a lot of noises and it was about to hatch! Read this book and you’ll find out what happens next!

Who remembers Jim Carrey (who played the Grinch)? Well, he plays Horton in the movie. Horton is very brave which made a great role model and a hero to Who-Ville. Any fan of Dr. Seuss will love this incredible movie.But did you also know that Horton has a best friend? His name is Morton. He is the only animal in the Jungle of Nool who supports Horton. The Craziest College Road Trip Ever!
In theaters on March 7th, 2008, the craziest College Road Trip begins! Melanie, starring Raven Symone from That’s So Raven, dreamed of having the “girls only” road trip. But soon, her overprotective father, starring Martin Lawrence, insists that he would come along. As the road trip begins, she soon finds her dream trip has turned into a nightmare adventure. And guess who’s coming along with them? A pig! This is one of the reasons they made this movie so interesting by having a pig on the set.
Not only that! They have Brenda Song from The Suite Life of Zach and Cody; Stuck in the Suburbs; Wendy Wu: Home Coming Warrior; Get a Clue, who plays Nancy in the movie, to star in the movie too! This movie just gets better and better. College Road Trip is rated G so any kid out there can watch this funny movie. This is not a bad movie for kids because the genre of this movie is only comedy so if you are planning to watch movie and you are having a bad day on that day, College Road Trip can brighten your day with some humorous laughs.

In February 29, 2007, a new fairy tale movie called, Penelope, is venturing to theatres. This movie is rated PG which will last till an hour and forty-one minutes (about 101 minutes). The genres are art/foreign, comedy, drama and science fiction/fantasy. This young girl was born to afflictedby a secret family curse which can be only be broken when she finds her true love. Penelope was cursed with a bad nose job! She had to cover it in front of everyone.

Penelope’s nose will be fixed after her realizing that she is loved by one of her own kind. As she goes on to an adventure, breaking free from her family, to find her love, she will soon realized a long life lesson, “I like myself the way I am”. This movie is a great movie for kids because it teaches kids to be you not someone else and it also shows kids animals acted as humans. People of all age will enjoy this great movie. Some people who had seen Penelope’s nose thought she looked like a regular human except for the fact that she has the nose of a pig! A lot of people noticed that.
Penelope tried running away from her mother expecting to find the man for her, but all the men screamed as they ran away. But there was one man who was falling for her and his name was Max. At the end of the story, they finally got married and you know, they lived happily ever after and that would be the end of the story of Penelope. This movie can sound weird at first but give it a chance. You’ll never know what’s going to happen when you watch this funny movie.

Walt Disney Pictures introduce Snow Buddies coming out on DVD Tuesday, February 5, 2008. This time they venture to the frosty arctic and team up with new friends in a thrilling dogsled race across Alaska. This is Disney’s favorite talking puppies. These puppies work together to accomplish the challenges they faced in the harsh weather. Two of the characters in this movie starring Dylan Sprouse (from Sweet Life of Zach and Cody) as Shasta and Jim Belushi (According to Jim) as Talon. Come watch your favorite puppies: food-loving Budderball, rapping B-Dawg, stylish Rosebud, mellow Buddha, and messy Mudbud.

Who’s The Pippin Chipmunks?
On December 14, 2007, a new movie called, Alvin and the Chipmunks, came into theatres. This is a comedy movie that most people love. These chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, and Theodore) love to mess around and have fun. Now, Alvin and the Chipmunks have their own soundtrack CD and games, in stores now. Most people love watching this movie because it’s funny and sometimes people think the chipmunks are cute! Alvin, the troublemaker, Simon, the tall and smart one, Theodore, the chubby one, works together to help make people’s lives as miserable as possible. This is the best family movie of the year because both young and old and middle ages will enjoy this movie equally.

Before this movie was ever made, Alvin and the chipmunks had their own TV show: The Alvin Show. The series ran through 1961 to 1962. The show was one of the small animated series during that time. This show was broadcast in black and white then later it was stored in as colors. Years later, the show was getting pretty old so not many people watch it anymore. The director created a new movie (Alvin and the Chipmunks) to represent the shows series.

On December 14, 2007, a new movie called, Alvin and the Chipmunks, came into theatres. This is a comedy movie that most people love. These chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, and Theodore) love to mess around and have fun. Now, Alvin and the Chipmunks have their own soundtrack CD and games, in stores now. Most people love watching this movie because it’s funny and sometimes people think the chipmunks are cute! Alvin, the troublemaker, Simon, the tall and smart one, Theodore, the chubby one, works together to help make people’s lives as miserable as possible. This is the best family movie of the year because both young and old and middle ages will enjoy this movie equally.
The History
Before this movie was ever made, Alvin and the chipmunks had their own TV show: The Alvin Show. The series ran through 1961 to 1962. The show was one of the small animated series during that time. This show was broadcast in black and white then later it was stored in as colors. Years later, the show was getting pretty old so not many people watch it anymore. The director created a new movie (Alvin and the Chipmunks) to represent the shows series.

The reason you should watch this movie is because everyone will love watching these chipmunks ruining Dave’s career. Not only kids will love this movie but the adults will enjoy it too.
